If you knew me you would know that I am obsessed with anything related to music and you will find that out through my posts. My best friend, Megan (yes- we have the same name ha), and I went to a concert at The Basement East in East Nashville to see Anderson East on his “Devil in Me” tour with Brent Cobb as his opener. I have been to a lot of concerts and I have to say that this one was by far at the top of my list as one of the best that I have been to!
The venue is large, but still has that small venue feel. The bartenders were amazing and super friendly and it has a great vibe that you don’t get most places!
We got to the show a little late (nothing new here) and heard a couple of songs from Brent Cobb who was amazing. Check out his website and his hilarious songs such as “Old Shit.” Great voice and clever lyrics!
Then, it was time for Anderson East to come on stage! He came right out singing and the crowd was swaying and dancing the entire time that he was on stage. He had a six piece band including a small horn section who killed it the whole time. The keys player – Philip Towns – was great! We got to meet him after the show and he was super down to earth. Check him out on Instagram @phils_town.
Anderson East was entertaining to hear and lots of fun to watch on stage! He introduced his band mates throughout the show and he even had one of them take their guitar away, dance and put the moves on the crowd – ha! This particular character was – Scotty Murray and he was hilarious to watch. Follow him on Instagram @ScottyBoyMurray.
We can’t wait to hear Anderson East play again and to hear his Southern Blues style music. I was first introduced to him through The Bobby Bones Show here in Nashville, TN. They always know the up and coming artists and he is one to watch for sure. Download his new album “Delilah” and catch him on his “Devil in Me” tour! He won’t dissapoint! Follow him on Instagram @andersoneast & on his website @ andersoneast.com.
